In late 1997, TC Prototypes were commissioned to build a car based on a US-spec Accord which DC Sport planned to use in the following year's North American Touring Car Championship. Unfortunately the 1998 NATCC was cancelled just days after DC Sport took delivery. The engine and gearbox were returned to the UK but thanks to the US body the car was of little use elsewhere and has remained unused ever since.
