Built as a development car by NME and used by
Ivan Capelli in the
1995 ADAC SuperTourenwagen Cup. Although the car gave a useful advantage in the wet, the team were never able to overcome the problems of weight and power losses associated with 4-wheel drive transmission and the project was dropped at the end of the season. This car is the last surviving 4WD Primera.
In 2000 the car was acquired by
Graham Coomes and run by HDT Racing in the Formula Saloons Championship until 2003.
As of 2007 the car is being prepared for use in the Scottish Saloon and Sports Car Championship.
