R-6-008 was originally built in 1996 as a spare bodyshell and was unused until 1999 when it was rebuilt using the running gear salvaged from the remains of chassis R-6-001.

In 2003 the car was sold to Sven Kristofersen in Norway.

In 2008 the car appeared for sale on a Swedish website.
